Sythico was completely unscaved, although he was battered by the opposition, not a single scare nor bruise. Sythico looked to Hannah with a smile on his face "I'm thinking this bloodlust will have to continue until they realise that attacking us is not a good plan." He looked up at the turrets to check if they were manned, they still were. He sighed as he looked back to Hannah, the men at the turrets were too cowardly to start firing, instead they all shook with a lack of morale. He sheathed his weapons then merely walked into the gates, successfully breaching without any harm.

Sythico wandered the streets of the large town, the buildings built with matching schemes and identical shapes. The buildings repeated eachother except this large one that sat in the center of the town, it had a memorial which showed their strange art. Sythico looked upon the art with a smile then continued to walk to this strange building, it was built with a very strange scheme, perching over as if it were to fall and crush the art before.

Sythico slowly opened the door and peered in, he noticed the security, lasers and turrets filling the room. Something inside must be very important. Sythico stepped just inside and avoided the lasers, he stood and waited for Hannah to follow.

If she wasn't too tired Hannah would probably yell after Sythico. There he goes again. Well at least he didn't go far now she thought before taking a deep breath and running after him. As she entered the building she saw him standing against the wall.
Why is he not moving? OUCH. Answer came burning her right foot. Cursing her frivolity, she cautiously approached him while eyeing the inside of the building.
"What are we looking for again?"

"Well it seems as though something very inmportant is in here, otherwise it wouldn't be guarded so heavily." Sythico started to move between the red lights, avoiding them with perfect grace. He moved as if he was dancing through the room. Eventually he passed the security and managed his way through a tight gap into the security boothe, with one flick of a switch everything was deactivated. It was strange that no one was in, maybe the security died charging them.

Sythico left the small room to look at Hannah still standing there, he waved childishly with a big grin on his face. He turned once again and opened the large locked door by loosening the bolts on the sides with the fastener he found in the previous room. The door swung open to reveal even more security, tighter beams and gaps to sneak between, Sythico was too large to fit through the next lot. He looked back at Hannah and gestured her to continue.

Hannah had to laugh. Image of Sythico waving frantically was hilarious yet hard to take in. If for example, someone told her this she would have a hard time believing him simply because she’d fail in picturing it. Nodding approvingly to show that she’s coming, Hannah stretched and walked across the floor which would mean suicide moments ago. Her eyes flickered with excitement at the danger as she peeked through the next door.
The lasers were placed so tightly close to each other it was obviously impossible for him to fit through. She smiled darkly, remembering how much height was important in the Irken Empire. She imagined pushing the Tallest, the oh so almighty rulers in here and watching them sizz and pop. That would be such a delightfully ironic way to end their lives.
Giving Sythico a thumb up, she quickly drew an imaginary path through the beams and ran in not leaving herself a chance to think twice. As she was jumping and again somewhat dancing through the lasers, she couldn’t help but feel awkwardly happy. The adrenalin rushing through her blood created a tingling sensation and the closer to death she was she felt more alive. She loved pulling the grim reaper’s nose. Hannah almost wished it lasted longer when she reached the switch at the other side of the room and bowed before pulling it, shutting the security off.

Sythico chuckled slightly then walked to Hannah after she shut the security down. Sythico looked at the door, it was even larger before and very oddly shaped, as though a monster of it's exact shape was about to-- within the instant Sythico thought of the door's shape a massive mechanical being burst through. It was huge in stature, a single scanning eye that followed Sythico as he moved left and right. Thebeing wasn't made of what everything else was made of, instead it was a lot stronger, nearly indestructible.
The creature screamed with a huge metallic hiss as it seemed to awaken; guns of all sizes seemed to protract from the body, cannons on the shoulders and just about every type of weapon portraying from it's massive hulking arms. Steam shot from what seemed to an image of it's large nostrils. It's face was like a cyclops bull with massive horns and a bull rings with some kind of electrified barbed wire strung to it. Was this a god of their opponent? The stature and image seemed to prove so.

Sythico stepped back and sheathed his weapons, ready for the first blow.

The beast smashed one of it's large fists directly ontop of Sythico but just in time Sythico jumped out of the way and stood beside Hannah again "Well this seems to be a strange turn of events." He lifted his pistolblade and fired a shot at the massive being but the laser/bullet bounced straight off. A sigh escaped his lips as he had to think of another tactic.

Sythico dashed past the mechanical mass and stood at the opposite side of the room to Hannah, the being threw a punch and in a quick thought Sythico tried to slash at the fist but bounced back. Through the carry-on of the fist Sythico was smashed into the wall behind him, he lie on the ground and rubble unconscious, the aura around Sythico faded away whilst he lie there.

Sythico! A shout almost escaped her throat as he fell on the ground. The monster seemed to have sensed it’s victory and has prepared to give him a final blast. Oh crap. Throwing herself forward she managed to push Sythico out of the way of its giant fist. She got up heavily panting and in a desperate act to draw attention opened a short rifle on the creature’s head. The bullets bounced off just like Sythico’s did before, making Hannah race for cover. She cursed something under her breath as she was dodging the rain of bullets. Luckily none hit Sythico. “Alright.” She grunted sarcastically. “That was really clever.”But what else could she do? Fear sneaked into Hannah’s heart as she watched the monster slowly turning to face her. She felt so… slimy. How come she’s afraid? What is she afraid of after all? That brain dead creature? Death? Spite overcame her and she laughed out of misery. No. If that’s all then she really is a fool. With fear gone, she tried buying some time by constantly moving to be behind its back.
What to do WHAT TO DO? It was invincible on the outside. But on the inside…
That’s it! Taking all of her bombs out Hannah ran in circle around the beast until she reached its front. Another shower of bullets overcame her and this time she wasn’t able to avoid every one. Hannah shrieked in a mixture of anger and pain. That jerk! He shot her in the knee. The most painful friggin place to get shot at! Growling and now pulling one leg, she aimed at its mouth. It was now or never. She threw all the bombs and was soon delighted to see that the dumb creature swallowed them all. It stopped moving with Hannah carefully scanning its expression. She heard an explosion coming from its stomach. For a few painfully long moments it seemed that it didn’t have any effect on the creature who now aimed all of its weapons at Hannah. Then suddenly, its face turned blank. It burped and smoke raised from its mouth before it fell like a tower, causing a small earthquake.
Not waiting to see will it get up Hannah crawled to Sythico and pulled him to the new passage that opened the moment beast fell.

Sythico's eyes started to open, his breathing starting again; the breath that started was very weak but slowly got stronger. Sythico's eyes rolled back round to the front of the socket but their colour was lost, almost white. Sythico's pupils were also almost fully dialated with halo like rings running around them. A short cough and he slowly began to stand, he wearily lifted his body, pretty much shaking like a rattle.
efore stumbling once more Sythico asked "What happened?" His aura starting to grow once more and the colour in his eyes returned. Sythico stood himself properly as his recooperation gradually became steadily.

After realising what happened he looked around the new room and in the dead centre was a scroll pirched atop a small stand, obviously sculpted to be the same height of the aliens. As Sythico moved towards it, it shone brighter and brighter until Sythico lifted the scroll's container and held it within his hands. The scroll read in a strange language but Sythico seemed to understand it. A smile reached his face as he realised what it was, it was a slinder of the rune which must have changed into this scroll. Sythico turned to Hannah with an accomplished smile "This is a good thing, by the looks of the writings on the scroll this planet contains another. In fact it was originally a fragment of the relic we searched but through war this fragment was split in half, the two halves turning into these scrolls. The other is still on this planet... Somewhere."

Hannah lifted her eyebrows questioningly. She had to admit, she was glad the pirate lord finally came to his senses. But she wasn't sure how to take the news. Sudden pain made her wince. She glared at her knee as if holding a personal grudge against it.
"Any ideas where it might be?" She snorted. "If there's another moron like that" she said looking at the last room "protecting it... Well, all I'm saying is I'm out of bombs."

Sythico saddened slightly "Well, there is no information on it but we can obtain the knowledge from the aliens, it was a planetary war so their history should tell us something." Sythico noticed the pain Hannah was going through so he pulled out another of the vials of the pastey white miracle solvent with the bitter taste and passed it to her with a soft hand. He then smiled and pocketed the scroll before resting on the ground, sitting beside Hannah.

"Ah."
Hannah stared at the vial. It looked just like the one Sythico drank after blasting a hole through the wall. Not wanting to get all mushy she slowly drank it, not minding the bitter taste in her mouth. After a while drinking any kind of liquid felt good.
And really, pain in her knee instantly died away.
Still she wasn't satisfied. Looking up she grinned at him with a mix of gratitude and confusion.
"Ok... why?"

"Why what?" he asked as he sat beside her then leaning into a more or less laying position with his legs nearly in a crossed fold before him. Sythico looked to the previous rooms just over his shoulder to see the door had opened somewhat more, he could see perfectly outside, the colours outside very much changed. It must've been from the scroll being taken, the colours were more orange and purple than before. Sythico looked puzzled and then shocked once he saw the buildings outside start crashing and falling apart, in a quick reflex he grabbed Hannah and took her off her feet and took her outside. Just as they got outside the building they were in collapsed and crumbled into near enough nothing.

Hannah merely blinked.
"....Why the hell that happened?"
She stared into a pile of rocks that were a magnificent building just moments ago.
Of course, thanking him was out of the question.

"I'm not sure..." Sythico checked the rocks, they were now completely different minerals "... But I never get a rest.." Sythico looked around, the entire town of beautiful buildings, even the statue that stood proudly was now all nothing more than rubble covering earth and the inhabitants of the buildings "Maybe they were using the scroll as a source to create the unknown minerals... They were incredibly intelligent to use the scroll as a source of magic." Sythico sighed then looked past the rubble to see the grass was no longer a teal colour but instead more vermillion. The skies turned maroon and the clouds softly drifted in their still white form. He couldn't work out what was going on, maybe the fragment splitting changed this planet? The only way to properly work out what had happened would be to search for a library or some other source of the knowledge.

Hannah looked around searching for any survivors. Unfortunately, there was no soul in sight. So no source of information.
What really bothered her was that there was nothing to lean on to. She looked at Sythico somewhat tiredly.
"Should we go back to the ship? Was this the only city on the planet?"

"According to the scroll no, there were hundreds but now only few, no more than five... The war between the nations of this single continent planet brought mass destruction, all over the power of the rune which was later split between the two alliances. It must be on other side of the now divided continent.. But yes I think rest would be good." Sythico looked in the direction of the ship and noticed the barracks was gone too. He could clearly see the ship from where he stood, which was bad.

Sythico walked in the ship's direction for shelter and rest "What happened to the others?" he asked.

Forced, humorless grin appeared on her tired face.
"The mech-boy... JEFF, wanted to guard the ship. I can't wait to politely ask others where the hell they've been." She let out a sigh. "You never know what Jeff might come up with just not to stay alone in the ship." For a second she got lost in thoughts. "I'll... " but she was too tired to finish and what she was going to do remained a mystery.

"Well let's get back to the ship before anything else happens, atleast the ship promises shelter and defense." He continued walking in the direction of the ship, looking around at the scene. Complete destruction mixed with surreal beauty, it was a mix of anger and attraction that hit Sythico whilst he looked at the strange coloured and twisted trees and plants. The land he walked upon was a strange one that only got stranger as they continued their quest.

Eventually he made it to the ship, he nodded to each of the people still there before entering and seating where he had sat upon landing. He rested his eyes slightly and tilted his back into perfect comfort, a smile and a breathe hit his lips as he began to sink slightly into the chair.

Hannah's arrival didn't went so smoothly. As Sythico entered the ship two of her thugs ran out to greet their captain.
She smiled which seemed to somehow trigger their defense mechanism as their eyes widened with fear and they automatically stepped back.
"AND WHERE WERE YOU!??" she yelled so fiercely that it was amazing how can someone so tired gather so much energy. The thugs practically pinned themselves to the wall of the ship.
"C-cap'n! You didn't give us any orders cap'n!"
Hannah snorted disdainfully. "You didn't try to avoid the fight?" she asked putting a degree of threat into the question. That didn't look like her crew but you never know.
"No cap'n!" They answered, sounding almost offended. "I swear!" one of them added.
"Your swears mean nothing to me." she answered sternly. However she couldn't keep in a yawn. "Okay.. I'll get back to you later."
She walked into the ship and threw herself into a chair letting out a deep sigh.

Sythico smiled "So I see they're a tid bit scared of you." He said whilst his head still facing the ceiling, his eyes closed and ready for a small nap. Sythico opened one of his eyes and looked at Hannah "Thankyou for saving me earlier Hannah." His voice was soft and beautiful again. He rubbed his temples with his finger and thumb of his left hand for a moment, he then looked out the door of the ship wondering what he was doing to the planet.

She snorted in return. Never fell for the mushy stuff, never will.
"Thank you for giving me that cure." she said while rolling her eyes. "I guess that was your way of repaying, so we're even now."

Sythico snickered and looked at Hannah, directly into her eyes "Nowhere near good enough, you saved me, I merely cured your leg injury." He looked down to his knees and twiddled his thumbs "I will repay you fully." His voice was some what softer in his rest. He was now completely comfortable around Hannah and her crew.

Hannah had to chuckle at that. "What, you're gonna push me off a cliff and then hold me before I fall?" Funny images of Sythico putting traps everywhere and Hannah falling through them as in old cartoons flashed through her head. Well that would be amusing. She tried imagining herself saying something like "I tawt I taw a puddy tat." and another giggle escaped her.
"Welllll that was nice, but ya know, nightmares await!" she exclaimed before letting her eyes shut and her mind slowly dozed to sleep.

Sythico leant back into rest, he smiled and puts his hands behind his head before falling into sleep.

Sythico's race was not one for dreaming but tonight his rest was interrupted by the most disgusting of dreams. Blood of his family, friends and his own lie about, he was the only one standing against a rival he couldn't see. He felt the pain inflict him from all angles, his opponent was relentless. The room he stood was much like the mess hall in Aesos but was more to ruin and had little or next to no colour.

"I see you're clumsy." the dark voice spoke in his dream as the sillhouette continued to spiral Sythico "Sythico, you've never known a power such as mine, you stepped into my trap and now you are useless."

"What are you speaking of fiend?" Sythico replied whilst wielding his weapons, following his gaze on his opponent and keeping his stance ready. The silhouette opponent disappeared then reappeared behind him, a female's laugh shot through his ear as he felt a blade enter his flesh. Sythico fell to his knees with his hand clutched to his bleeding chest. A large wound following through his body. The room started to swell and release as if it were breathing, a black fog filling the room and whirling around Sythico like a whirlwind.

Sythico woke abruptly to see that time had past quickly, he was in a cold sweat and his hands were clutched to his chest "It was only a dream." He fell back into the seat and started to breathe heavily to release the fear within him. Sythico stood and walked outside for some fresh air, he heard birds in the trees and night animals making all kinds of quirky noises. It was an eden, much louder than before? A small bird came down and pirched on the ship just behind Sythico's head, a smile came to his lips as he saw the small beauty. The bird sang and hopped about on the spot, it's blue and green tints shining in the midnight glow. The bird flew away and disappeared into a cloud of sparkling white dust from site almost instantly, everything here was as if it were a dream. Sythico sat on the orange grass and run his hands through it. The dew softly brushing onto his silk gloves. As Sythico lie on the ground and looked to the stars a flurry of what seemed to be fireflies but of a different body flew from a nearby tree, filling the air with amazing patterns. Sythico was dazzled by the beauty of the planet, a smile was still on his face as he stared to the stars, no clouds now and only him and the outdoors. Well and the ship. He noticed a few shooting stars fly across the sky as he became witness to their huge binary moons. A massive white glowing orb and a small yellow trailing behind it. Sythico slowly closed his eyes in wonder and fell back to sleep, forgetting completely about his previous dream.

It was around four AM when Hannah woke up. Realizing she can't keep her eyes closed anymore , she straightened in her chair and looked at the giant, now transparent screen showing the beautiful landscape of the planet.
How strange, she never had sleeping problems before.
Stretching her arms and legs she threw a look at the chair opposing her and noticed that Sythico's missing.
Probably went out for a walk she thought before getting up. Immediately she started feeling weird. Hannah was a person of action after all, since she'd get up to until she falls asleep, she always had something to do. Now when everyone was asleep and when everyone expected her to be asleep too, she suddenly felt trapped, if not even claustrophobic. Suppressing a shudder, she sat back into the chair and mentally hurried the sun to come up.

Sythico awoke once more, he saw the sun just pouring slightly from the cliffs "Early riser on this planet." He said to himself as he stood and walked inside the ship again. He noticed Hannah already awake "Are you ready? We have to find that other half of the relic before anything happens to it or us." Sythico quickly left the ship once more to see the huge sun in the sky and a Binary one following, even the stars around the planet had changed from the scroll.

Sythico noticed a small creature atop the cliff which was the same shape as the aliens before. Within a split second Sythico had shot him down off the cliff and the body landed on a nearby tree. Sythico slowly walked to the landing spot and checked the body. Which was difficult considering he was in a tree. The alien he had just killed looked as if it were an entirely different species, same shape and vilociraptor ancestory but instead it had two pairs of arms; a large pair ontop and smaller ones below in the center of it's torso. Also the scales were more jagged, the teeth were sharper and it had spines going down it's back and tail, following two lines parrellel to it's spinal chord. The colours on the creature were also different, more desert animal than the others. Sythico looked at the bullet wound, clean between its eyes, and saw even the blood was a different colour. The blood was pitch black! Sythico pulled the corpse from the tree and analyzed its armour further, again another mineral to the last, a different technology for a different race. Sythico then eyed the cliff up and down and then sprang from the ground, leaping up further by using small ledges that portrayed.

With the new view atop the cliff he saw further than he could believe. A literal border crossed on the horizon, a huge wall and before the wall were numbers of villages with what must be filled with the new creatures. Sythico sighed at the site of the journey and looked for an alternative to walking, which was either the ship of some kind of mountable animal. That's when Sythico saw a ranch at a nearby village, the roof made it unable to see what was inside but it was worth a shot. He called for Hannah and waited for her to scale the cliff.
